I am a general pediatrician from Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. I attended medical school in Chicago and did my residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. During my medical training, I had the opportunity to participate in two international electives, in St. Lucia and India. These experiences had a profound effect on me personally, and helped shape my approach to the practice of medicine. I am looking forward to lending a hand in the medical care of the people of Northern Ghana. I am very excited to be one of the faculty members for 4 students who will be having their first international medical experience.
When I am not "doctoring," I am a mother of two children, ages 5 and 7 years. My husband and I like to camp, cook, and run. In my younger days, I played women’s rugby, but most people would not guess that by looking at me. I don’t look very intimidating, but I had a reputation for being pretty tough on the field.
