Day 3

Today we rounded on the patients and then went to the Baptist Church across the street. There are many churches in the village nearby and lots of people attend. Murray you would be happy to know that there are lots of well behaved children there. They gather on the floor in the front with their dresses and nice clothes with flip flops. As we left we bought mango's at the Hospital "cafeteria" which is a handful of shops in the front of the village to sell food to the family's of the loved ones in the hospital. Then we had lunch which is always very good...we had burrito's, chicken pot pie. Then we went to Nakpanduri and Escarpment which is a long cliff that extends miles along a fault line. We saw the "fog" which Dr. Hewitt says was a result of the sand from the Sahara Desert, which is over 1000 miles away. Good time... and gotta run...time to round!

Kavara & Others:

Just logged on to check for an update -- thanks Tracey.

Hard work, good food, and real disease... I must say I am a bit envious.

Sounds like your's is an adventure true to the spirit of medicine -- I'm most proud of you all.

Later On,
Bradley
